History
Taitung County Guanshan Junior High School was founded in 1968. It provides students an opportunity for education in Guanshan.
Because of hard work from principals and teachers over and over years, now the school develops stably. Although small and remote, it’s still a good place for students to grow knowledge.
Aims
The impact of information technology in life is becoming more and more extensive. Therefore, understanding how computers work and enhancing ability to use computers are essential for every modern person.
Technology-oriented, integrate of knowledge, redefine learning with the actual experience and tasks.
The emphasis on "Maker courses" is the foundation of innovation and invention in STEAM, which is a combination of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics.
1. Promote the school's Maker courses, and cultivate the maker spirit of our school teachers and students.
2. Develop systematic curriculum and teaching materials, innovative teaching and evaluation, in order to deepen the characteristics of technology information education.
3. Enhance the curriculum development ability of teachers, develop Maker and program design teaching experiment course of our school.
4. Develop Maker courses and program language design courses.
5. Develop students logical concepts of learning programming design. Furthermore, by operating process, let them learn scientific methods and knowledge

Characteristics
Learning ability of students compared with the whole Taitung county is above average. Parents of Guanshan area are generally concerned about education, and willing to support the school to promote education policy.
Students constitute 40% of aboriginal students, mostly Bunun and Amis. 10% for the children of immigrant resident, the other are Minnan and Hakka.
Now, the school is being rebuilt and is expected to be completed in the second semester of the 105 academic year.
The overall shape is like a clover, symbol of wisdom, benevolence, courage of the scout spirit.
Red, blue, white, three mountains stacked with each other, a symbol of cultivate students.
Only one mountain, the main body of its shape, is the meaning of champion.
The circle at the right is the image of the sun, which means bright.
The figure in the circle is the patron saint of the early "Li Long".
The overall meaning is full of nostalgia and innovation, and hopes to inherit the wisdom of the past and innovate to create the future.
